Often described as the quieter, more serene sister to the larger Koh Rong, Koh Rong Samloem<\/strong> (sometimes spelled Sanloem) is a stunning tropical island tucked into the Gulf of Thailand, about 25 kilometers off the coast of Sihanoukville, Cambodia.<\/p>

Measuring roughly 9 kilometers long and 4 kilometers wide, it is famous for its footprint-free white sand, turquoise waters, and a laid-back vibe that makes you forget the rest of the world exists. Unlike many heavily commercialized beach destinations in Southeast Asia, Samloem has traditionally maintained an off-the-grid, castaway charm.<\/p>

        Hidden on the rugged western side of the island and accessible via jungle trekking trails from Saracen Bay, these golden-sand beaches face the open ocean.<\/p>

              • Getting Around:<\/strong> There is no major public road network or standard car traffic. Moving between disconnected bays relies on traditional long tail taxi boats or walking through jungle trails. Pack light or use a backpack, as you will likely step directly into the surf when disembarking your boat.<\/li>
              • The Seasons:<\/strong> The peak dry season runs from November to April<\/strong>, offering calm seas and endless sunshine.
